Travelled from most uk airports and East Midlands has to be the worst, the £5 charge for drop off is unreasonable and got chaotic. Why not encourage drop offs and car sharing and reduce the amount of vehicles coming to and from the airport needlessly!

Passport control a joke. Waited 1 hour then u have to pay £5 for rapid pick up. Disgusting service & charges

I can never get my head around charging 10 pounds (out & back) to bring a customer to East Midlands Airport.They could NEVER do this without the collusion of Leicestershire Council.Why do they feel they have to find a way to squeeze the public.Dropping of a customer should be free(up to say10mins).If you stay over that time then you will pay 5 pounds.This would stop people staying longer than necessary.

Having flown from both East Midlands and Birmingham airports in the last month I must say I am highly impressed with East Midlands. There were no mile long queues to get through security as there were at Birmingham. The process was easy. It was clean and the food services and facilities offered were ample whilst waiting for the boarding gate to open. There is a well thought out smoking area for those that have passed through security, that doesn’t affect other passengers, which was appreciated by my fellow passengers, although they did comment that a swing bin in that area (with a sign asking people to put their extinguished cigarette ends in) for nub ends would help ease the staff having to clean them up.
I also accidentally left something on the plane upon return and their response has been great to enable me to get it back. Helpful staff and an airport I would choose to fly from again.

Shockingly bad. Rude staff at security who give the impression their cv includes 'cattle market'. They are grumpy and shout at passengers. Delays.
No announcements regarding delays. Have been at the gate for an hour and a half, sitting on the floor as there are not enough seats. Just awful

Live in manchester had holiday cancelled by tui so rebooked only flying from east Midlands, thought it was going to be stressful spending time in endless ques but hey it was outstanding 50 mins to check in an get though security same on way bk landed at 2.40 was out done an dusted by 3.20 with my bags on the way home, would highly recommend if you want the edge taking of all the stress with the current situation in airports. Travelled 19th June came bk Friday 1st july. The only thing I would comment on is the ques to get served at the bars, there were very few staff on but my god the ones working grafted hard it was none stop for them.

The rapid drop off was an absolute shambles both on outgoing and incoming journeys. It created great problems for us as we have a disabled daughter with a mobility scooter. Eventually personnel wandered out and manned the barriers on both occasions after we had been waiting for our taxi for 40 minutes. We could see it in the queue but it was chaos. This couldn't have been a coincidence and is proving to be the norm, disgraceful and expensive.

returning through immigration is a joke at this airport.
they keep saying our airport is not affected like the rest
but 3 flights at same time and 5 egates open
but dont for get if you have kids you go straight through to the front even if there is 9 of you and only 2 kids

Rapid drop off is a rip off. The staff is so rude. They think that they are so important abf they treat people like dirt.

What an absolute disgrace this airport is. Poor signage, rip off charges. Cars driving around the airport, just as we were, unable to find where they needed to be. Website? Yes, tried that before we left home. Very clear about paying, putting in card details, but poor on offering information about where you need to be. We were only picking our daughters up, but we will certainly never use this airport again. Money grasping organisation with zero customer service.

Daylight robbery,won't be using this rip off company again,A fiver to drop off and a fiver to pick someone up,Birmingham is free as is Manchester,I Know which airoprt I will be advising to go from next time,AND IT WONT BE RIP OFF EAST MIDLANDS,

The rapid drop off is something of an oxymoron. It took me more than 30 minutes to drive through at midnight when picking someone up. There was a complete lack of order and the barrier system is appallingly slow and complex. The answer? Fly from Birmingham.

£5 to drop someone off at the terminal or face a hefty fine from some mercenary private parking company, oh but you can park at long stay 2 for one hour foc, 20 min walk to the terminal and now they have suspended the free bus indefinitely, welcome to rip off Britain.

Sad state when the staff in boarder force need to mind their Manors. Or male 7. We all work in stressful jobs. It’s a shame that some boarder force team let the others down. The insults the passengers were getting when coming through on the 10th from Ryanair late from Alicantie was abusive offensive and not called for. And when I raised it I was told you do what you want. Feel free and complain
